Start your day with lunch at Jim’s Hot Dogs and Spaghetti located in Suite 18 of the Historic Camayo Arcade at 1536 Winchester Ave.

Open from 9 am - 5 pm, enjoy a classic hot dog or get a burger that will remind you of The Flying Saucer from The Bluegrass Drive-In!

Camayo Arcade
 

The Camayo Arcade is a historic shopping arcade located along Winchester Avenue in downtown Ashland, Kentucky. It opened in July 1926 and was the first indoor shopping mall built in the state of Kentucky. The building is part of the Ashland Commercial Historic District. 

There are currently several shops and businesses located inside the Arcade. It is full of insta-worthy photo opportunities.

TOUR AND PLAY AT THE HIGHLANDS MUSEUM & DISCOVERY CENTER

History and heritage along with energy and excitement come together on the Country Music Highway at the Highlands Museum & Discovery Center. From 6 months to 96 years young, visitors find activity and information that puts the past in perspective and moves the present into the future.

The Discovery Center boasts many areas of interactive exploration, including a special play place for toddlers and a flight simulation station for pilots of all ages. Walk into the Ohio River town of Poage’s Landing and navigate Little Joe, an actual towboat. Role play in the streetscape of a river community. Learn about the natural world around you in the tree house exhibit or rest awhile on the front porch and enjoy games, a puzzle garden and a puppet dog house.

Located at 1620 Winchester Ave in Ashland, KY and open from 10 am - 4 pm.

Admission:
$6.50 for adults
$5 for seniors (55+) and children 18 and under
FREE for children less than 2 years old.

EXPLORE AND PLAY AT CENTRAL PARK

Ashland’s Central Park is 47 acres of wooded land right in the middle of Downtown, located between 17th and 22nd Streets and Central and Lexington Avenues. The two main, brand new, play ground areas are in the middle of the park, surrounded by lots of trees and picnic areas.

Plenty of open spaces for kids to explore and have some socially distanced, outdoor fun!

Superhero Creamery

Located in the Ashland Town Center Mall, SuperHero Creamery is a frozen yogurt and ice cream shop filled with comic books and super hero toys and action figures!

Featuring in-house custom t-shirt digital printing, and Pottery Painting! Open from noon to 7 pm.

BUTTER BEER, just added to the menu on a permanent basis, served in a souvenir glass mug that you can keep! Come experience the deliciously magical beverage (non-alcoholic) straight from the pages of Harry Potter!
